Katarina Zovinova Long, Esq. joined Tourzani & Long, LLC in 2021 as a Partner. Katarina is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and limits her practice to immigration law. Katarina is fluent in Slovak and Czech.
Katarina brings with her over a decade of immigration experience as both an immigrant navigating the complex immigration system and as a dedicated and knowledgeable immigration attorney.
Katarina received her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law with a concentration in immigration and international law. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in special education and psychology from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia.
As a top litigator and a zealous advocate, Katarina has successfully represented hundreds of immigrants before immigration courts, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Board of Immigration Appeals, embassies and consulates abroad, and state and federal district courts. Katarina specializes in complex USCIS matters; waiver inadmissibility requests; humanitarian petitions such as affirmative asylum, VAWA, U visa and deferred action; removal defenses such as defensive asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status and prosecutorial discretion requests; post-removal remedies and motion practice; and employment-based immigration.
Being an immigrant herself, Katarina understands the agony of geographically dislocated families and the challenges of starting a new life in the United States firsthand. This personal experience has made her a compassionate and dedicated lawyer who is willing to take the extra step in finding solutions for her clients’ problems.
